About the trainer

Maureen is a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP) and a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI). Using positive reinforcement methods she coaches her clients to achieve their training goals. Maureen believes training should be fun and those training activities are something you and your dog can enjoy all through their life. Working together, you will learn how positive reinforcement gets the behaviors you want from your dog and in the progress strengthens your relationship.

An avid advocate, teacher, and participant in K9 Nose Work®, Maureen loves introducing new students to the activity for fun and competition. Currently, Maureen is training and competing with her rescue dog Arrow. Her first Nose Work dog, Bo earned the NW3 title before retiring from competition.

During the COVID pandemic in 2020, Maureen helped clients train their puppies virtually, and because of the successes achieved during that time, she continues to offer virtual training as an option.

Always curious to learn more, Maureen continues to expand her knowledge base in dog training and canine behavior by attending seminars, workshops, and conferences multiple times per year.
